The Fire Safe Council of Nevada County has the pleasure of working with Jim Norman the owner of Trees Unlimited. Our history goes back seven years, with him being the successful low-bidder on our chipping program as well as other private, county, state and federal contracts for fuel reduction projects throughout Nevada County.

I personally enjoy working with Jim due to his high level of customer service. He makes my job easier because he goes the extra mile to ensure complete satisfaction. We have been retaining the service of Jim Norman from Trees Unlimited for the past 2 1/2 years. We are approximately 23 acres in Chicago Park. James was hired to cut down trees, skirt trees, clear away acres of manzanita and trim away low hanging branches.

James is an excellent worker with an excessive knowledge about trees and tree maintenance. He follows safety guidelines and makes sure everything is always cleaned up after a job and fire clearance regulations are adhered to. James is very prompt for his scheduled appointments and tried very hard to work around our very busy schedules.

We are satisfied with his work performance and highly recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

The trees feel light and free but not scalped. Yesterday with the storm I felt so safe and there are no big branches hanging over the house.

It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation for Jim Norman with Trees Unlimited. My in-laws own Gene’s Pine Air Campground located in Washington, CA. They applied for the Washington Fuels reduction grant through the Fire Safe Council to create defensible space in their campground. My wife and I tried for many years to do this on our own but it was simply overwhelming. Thanks to Jim Norman and his well trained workers this feat has been accomplished.

Trees Unlimited did a fantastic job! A very overgrown hillside was thinned of brush which now gives the campground a firebreak that has not been there in the past. Trees were cleared out and shredded, debris and bush were thinned, roadsides cleared and clean. All the workers were very professional and didn’t create problems with the campers or use profanity which we have found to be common place between contractors and their crew. Trees Unlimited was very understanding in abstaining from working on the weekends when the campground was full. Jim’s team went beyond the scope of work that was decided upon. He made sure to keep in touch with us about all aspects of the job and never hesitated to make sure that we were happy with the work that he and his team provided.

We are very pleased to inform you how fantastic Trees Unlimited managed our lands. We greatly appreciate all the hard work and the professionalism shown to us during this project.

Had a 70′  tree come down in a storm in May. The tree fell on a 12′ high fence that wrapped itself around the tree and made the base impossible for me to get out on my own. I made calls to multiple services. This was the only one to call me back. I described what I thought was a big job. They came out with skip loader the same day and had it gone in no time. They were professional, quick (90 min) and reasonable. I can finally get the fence repaired!
